Hello, I am new to Plano. Does anyone know where is Plano school bus "Fare Busing" bus stop near Preston Meadow and Foxtail. Plano ISD website will update this information in August, just wondering if anyone near this place (Preston Meadow at Foxtail) used this "fare busing" service earlier.

Thanks for your help.

I don't think that neighborhood has Fare Busing. Neither Haun nor Robinson run any buses, free or not.

Since the point of Fare Busing is to fill seats on buses that PISD is legally required to run (but would otherwise be almost empty), they only offer it at those schools that have at least some kids living more than 2 miles away. For that neighborhood, 100% of the Haun and Robinson attendance areas are in "walking" range - 2 miles.

Note: I'm assuming you're looking at this for a younger child. If not, I guess you could do Fare Busing for Jasper High School. The bus to Plano West would be free - but by that age, those Plano West kids aren't riding the bus - they're driving BMWs and Hummers to school.

To answer the general question "How are bus stops determined?" - They cash your check, plot the paying houses on a map, and draw a route from there. In general, they'll dump you right in front of your house, unless you're on a cul-de-sac or very minor road, in which case you'll have to walk to the end of the block.
