I've had DirecTV for four years and I have been very happy with it. For about $45/mo I get a lot of channels, many more then Time Warner was offering for 80-something a month. The customer service is good as well, my only complaint would be that it sometimes goes out in bad storms.

I have Verizon for my phone service and DSL, which together is about $80/mo. I've been rather disapointed with the DSL lately as its been quite slow. Meanwhile Verizon is pushing their FiOS service like it the second coming of Christ.

I'm paying $40 for a 5mbit FiOS connection and it is nice.... I believe AT&T's rate for a 6Mbit DSL connection is also $40, so I'll probably transfer over to that if I can work out the details.

I used to have FIOS, which is fantastic. Unfortunately it isn't available in Lake Highlands, where I moved to. Now I have TWC but will switch to DirecTV next week because TWC TV is too expensive for what you get.

I have Verizon Fios, which is awesome and Dish Tv. I've had dish for 5 years and have been pretty happy with it except when the weather gets really nasty, but cable has been known to go out in those cases too.

Agree with galore on Time Warner, too much for too little.
