I'm looking for another provider, besides Time Warner. They will take another week to get our service transfered to our new house. I'm looking for other optrions

Verizon FIOS for Internet, Phone & TV. I'm satisfied except that all but the local channels require a tuner or cablecard. The DVR is crazy expensive and I'm too cheap to buy a few Tivo Series 3s.... and I can't build a MythTV box that will do cablecard... so I'm stuck with the expensive DVR rental.
The taxes are insane... but they're not Verizon's fault. For all 3, I calculated that I pay $33 a month in taxes.

I read on a tech blog ( Engadget) that AT&T is now offering a 768kbs down and something like 128k up DSL package for $10.
(disclaimer: I do work for one of their divisions, but not their ISP.)

Thanks guys,
we actually went with ATT. We have TWC at our apartment and its been fine but to transfer it to our new house will take them over another week. I'm ready to move and dont want to wait so we went with someone else. the ATT deal seems good!

I know, I'm looking at switching over, but Verizon's my local provider. In my talks with AT&T, they say there could be a 6 week delay between switching my phone and getting FTTN service up and running.
I've got to decide if I want to pay for duplicate services for the interim.

We're looking at AT&T's U-Verse (TV, Internet, and in the very near future, phone via fiber optic). I'm actually going to have it installed (for free) and will have two months free of their top of the line package; at which point we can choose to disconnect. I'm fairly excited, because it appears to be very cost effective versus having to go through through two or three different providers for phone, internet, and tv. With U-Verse, you are supposed to also be able to program your television through the Internet and download information from your Internet account to your television. Anyone out there have this yet and what's your opinion?

Whatever you do... don't get time warner! I have cable, phone, and internet with them and I've had numerous problems. The customer service is horrible too!
