Does anyone know of any good suburban neighborhood farmer's markets around DFW? I hear there is a bigger one down town but I'm wondering if DFW is anything like in San Diego in that there is a FM once a week in each town throughout the county. So if they exist, which suburban neighborhoods could one find them and how much of their produce is organic or at least "chemical free"? Good prices? Variety? I am looking at relocating to DFW and access to farm fresh produce, eggs and other local goods is an aspect of San Diego that I really appreciate and hope to find out there as well.

Ones I have been to recently:

Garland - Firewheel
Allen - Watters Creek
Mckinney - Chestnut Square
Mckinney - Adriatica
Plano - Fairview Farms

Info on the Garland and Allen ones can be found on this site:
FOUR SEASONS MARKETS - European-style market, local farmers, artisanal food, craftsmen, family-friendly venue (looks like there is one in Addsion too)

Info on the Mckinney ones can be found here:
http://www.chestnutsquare.org/progra...ers_market.asp
(I frequent these two the most as I live in Mckinney...I can buy organic produce, locally made honey, grass fed beef, locally made dairy products (including raw milk), locally grown plants/ herbs, etc...plus there are often local arts and craft vendors.)

And, Fairview Farms in Plano: Fairview Farms Marketplace Plano - Party Facility, Rent Houses, Farmers Market

I am pretty sure there is a farmers market of some sort in most of the suburban cities in the area.

Of the ones I frequent, Mckinney's FM in Chestnut Square is my favorite because it has a great variety of vendors, it's located in a beautiful historic village, and the people are super friendly....It just has a wonderful sense of community.

This YouTube link will give you a little taste (pun fully intended) of this market:

(Gotta love that the Fire Chief is the musical entertainment for the day...just shows how, despite its crazy growth the last 10 years, Mckinney is still a small town at heart ((((love))))).

The one at Firewheel is temporarily suspended while they negotiate with the landlord.
