Most people from Houston and Dallas are not like you. Most people in both are mature people who talk about their difference without having to exaggerate or add the seething hatred. My only conclusion is that you must be a child (probably going through puberty). Adults or even kids with an amount of maturity dont talk the way you do. I live in Dallas and work one week a month in Houston and I love both, though I prefer DFW.

I do think you are Buzzz or Pigtown (which for those of you who dont know were names used by some loser who came on the board and spent his time bashing Dallas childishly). The way the you talk is identical to the other screen names used by that guy. On the off chance you arent, you are still a child with too much time and no clue. If you say otherwise, you are lying. You have made it too obvious.

It is called DFW you know Fort Worth has a nice cutural district but you sound close minded and ignorant all in one. The new Dallas Arts looks pretty promising. 10 years from now you wouldn't even know the differents between Houston and Dallas art scene. IMO I think Fort Worth cultural district is just as good as Houston Arts scene.

talk about the humidity its horrible there!! At that time I could not wait to

leave that city. The only thing I can think of things to do in this city is

scout out for girls or playing at the arcades at malls that's about it. At

least Dallas has a attractive amusement park and clean lakes and Houston

has none of that just those nasty old oil beaches that are very

unattractive and talk about the zoning in that city urgh. The Hurricane

sirens and the warnings in that city scares the bejesus out of me making

me want to settle in the DFW Metroplex.
Spoken like a true 9th grader. Amusement parks? Arcades? Girls? Are you kidding me? The beaches in Galveston are a lot of fun. They are not a nasty as the California beaches but they do have more stirred up sand. Galveston attracts millions of people every year. And the best part is that it is better than not having any beach. There are some days when the waters on Galveston beach are beautiful and blue. I have NEVER seen oil on Galveston beaches. That is another LIE! True, they are not the best in the world. But a hell of a lot better than the beaches around DFW - Oh wait, WHAT BEACHES? HA! Next time you are in Galveston just look at all the people who drove there from DFW - WHERE THERE IS NOTHING BUT DRIED UP PRAIRIE WASTELAND. There are a lot DFW'ers that go to Galveston and can't wait to come back. I work with a few of them here in scortching hot dt Dallas so I know. Dallas is almost as humid as Houston. And for the little bit of extra humidity at least Houston-Galveston people can play in the waves. The heat index in Dallas today is 112 because of the humidity and Gulf moisture - but unfortunately Dallas doesn't get any of the benefits.

I didn't think you were a child. I think you are an adult with nothing better to do than trade insults with someone who you think is a child and that's much, much worse. I just figured you and a few others had nothing better to do with your time - so you play silly games trying to make living in Dallas bearable. I suppose if you and your kind have spent years building Dallas up in your minds, trying to convince yourself that it is better than it is and holds a better image in the eyes of the world than it truly does - EVENTUALLY you start to delude yourselves. Fashion capital? - give me a break.

Now this post I like. All I can say is that Houston survived the last "catagory 10 hurricane" and it will survive the next "catagory 10 hurricane".
The real question is how will DFW survive the next F-25 tornado!

What the city of Dallas is lacking is a rebirth of its garment industry which would then bring in more fashion designers. I think this will happen again in the near future.
I have no doubt that the city of Dallas has gone from its designation of one time being one of the major centers that influenced fashion by actually setting the standards of what was considered the scale to falling to what it has become today which is a lower designation of having lots of upscale commercial shopping districts.
Yet, figure that as Dallas - Fort Worth used to be a primary market for the fashion industry, it now has become a primary major market for lots of things.
In other words, the Dallas Market Center converted its men's clothing mart selling it to a children's hospital in Southwestern Medical Center. The smaller building was connected to a huge building which was then the Women's clothing mart. Something like that.
Attaboy...Now see there, you'd never get banned just for that. And you my friend could use a good ol fashioned remedial reading course yourself...if your english comprehension was beyond first grade, you would see that I clearly and openly stated that I have NO FACTUAL grounds to argue whether Dallas is a fashion mecca or not. I relayed to the discussion my perspective through something called anecdote (my personal observation, not intended to displace the factual information you presented.). I never pretended to have any empirical basis for questioning Dallas' title as a fashion mecca..I specifically said that "IF Dallas is a fashion mecca, then so be it. " ...my comment simply stated that I didnt realize that Dallas was ever considered a fashion mecca. Truthfully, I never even saw the "evidence" that you posted. I was just responding to another poster's comment.

I dont know which city is the fashion mecca, and I stated as much in my first statement about fashion. (which, with your prodigious reading skills and all, one would think you would have seen) I was only stating that I have never heard of Dallas (or anywhere in Texas really) being a fashion mecca..but apparently it is...doesnt matter to me one way or the other.

Ill say it again: I have never heard of Dallas being a fashion capital until I read it on this website. But if Dallas is a fashion pioneer even today, then so be it; thats another industry that Dallas is dominating in the South/Southwest

O.K. you have convinced me. I will stop the Dallas bashing if you can get everyone else to stop the Houston bashing. Since I know that is impossible, I will keep collecting my Dallas insults (which are nothing but the truth), but I shall withhold them until the Houston bashing begins which should be within the next 5 minutes. I know I will unleash my wrath again tho because it is IMPOSSIBLE for Dallasites to say anything about Dallas without having to compare it with Houston. Yes, Houston is THAT important. It is the standard by which Dallas measures itself. You get what you give.
