Just returned from my trip to Mckinney Tx. great time!!! found work and a nice apt to live. Gonna be in Mckinney area. Here are some great reasons for my move:

1. no state income tax
2. .50 less per gallon on gas
3. less sales tax
4. car registration is only about $100/yr
5. no crv (beverage deposit) tax
6. much more affordable housing

Dino702, I wish you the best. Looking forward to my move when the time comes. You found a job really fast. What's your take on the Dallas job market? Did you have some things lined up before you moved there?

Having moved from Miami...I have to admit I like Dallas. I actually live in the middle of the city. So convenient!! However, when you live in a mega city like Miami..Dallas will always feel like a sleepy town. There's tons of parties/activities and things to do...nonetheless its a huge town. So brace for the culture shock. (In case you lived in LAX or SD).

Ive sold cars for Honda for many years so the transfer was quite easy. If you can sell its ez to find work I visited for about a 7 days... in that time i looked at a few places to live and interviews briefly at the local dealer. Things are all in place so just waiting till my lease ends here in CA in January. Thanks for all the positive comments.

Honda car sales business in Dallas and Houston is great. You will do well and enjoy your time in your new home.

For someone in your field, I think you made a great choice. Congrats on the move and welcome to Texas.

PS- I lived in Dallas for awhile (presently live in Houston). My main problem with Dallas is the Cowboys. When people would ask me who my favorite team was, I always answered, "visitor".
