Anyone know of any reasonably priced places to buy homecoming dresses? My budget really can't be over $50. What about consignment stores? Plato's closet doesn't have very good quality dresses and Buffalo Exchange seems to be picked over....

any suggestions in the Dallas area?

A good friend has a teen girls resale shop in Rowlett, Every Girls Closet. She had some party and homecoming dresses the other day. Closed on Monday though.

If you had asked a few weeks ago the Garland HS drill team does a homecoming dress sale every year as a fundraiser. They held it about 2 weeks ago.

You could always go to Kohl's or Macys or a place like that. They are always having sales and prices are fairly inexpensive. Why do you have to go to a place that exclusively sells dresses? They're marking them up right there because of that, just like anything that says "baby" automatically costs more...

Actually no one said anything about going to a specialty shop.

I agree with Kohl's though. We found adorable dresses there.

There is a shop at the Galleria that is formal dresses for the high school crowd. It is called Windsor and located on the 3rd floor. Imho, you have to be careful with what they have. Some might be less expensive but look "cheap", if you know what I mean. They have a website you can look at but I would NOT buy one online from them as I'd want to see the fabric and how it fit in person.

Prom Dresses, Formal Dresses, Homecoming Dresses, Cocktail Dresses - Windsor

Another place to check is Cache. If you have a coupon from their email list (check their website and get on that list to get one) and it is on sale they can have some GREAT deals and they have beautiful dresses. Same goes for White House/Black Market. Both stores can have amazing deals on their sale racks. They are in all of the malls.

I'd also try JCPennys.

You can also try the Dillard's Outlet. There are two stores in the metroplex - one in Irving Mall and the other at Six Flags Mall in Arlington. Typically clothes are 75% the regular Dillard's store. The last few times I've been, the dresses were an additional 30% off the price tag.
