Sorry ace, have to disagree - I have more than enough money to live in HP - but I don't want to be around those types. The way they treat others is despicable and by criticizing them I am not revealing my own shortcomings (IMO) - I am calling them out and asking them to be ashamed.

Well, if Jesus was unwilling to criticize a lady for a lapse of virtue, perhaps Lakewooder should be unwilling to criticize a Parkie for his way of life.

The body of religious texts in my tradition has a prohibition against ... "judging others, lest ye be judged". I think that's a biblical way of saying... "Mind your own business."

If you think the Parkie way of life is somehow debased... then, don't practice it. Nobody appointed you to the morals police.

Better a Lexus than a beat-up 1997 Ford Escort.

Frisco is a place where people can afford a better class of cars, for themselves and their children. Is that morally evil?

I don't know what "down to earth" means, but I see no contradiction between owning a high tech well-crafted German car and a sane and balanced approach to life.

I'm also reminded that "Envy" is one of the seven deadly sins.

And I doubt Jesus would let the "N" word go by without an admonition.

???

Exactly what are you talking about? And why is it relevant to the present discussion?

Are you saying that Jesus would try to censor 21st century language for political correctness?

If you have a specific accusation then please bring it forward.

Once again, that is none of your business. You have not been appointed the morals police to decide when the Parkies are commiting sloth or wrath.

I'm pretty sure there is something in the bible that Jesus taught about "Love thy neighbor". I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't be too pleased with people calling each other racial slurs.

But it amazes me to see people who claim to be "Christian" who do these very things and try to justify it in Jesus' name.

But this thread isn't about that, so really, get back to the subject...Thank God for the 'ignore' feature on here.
