I used to ride horses. I raced barrels and poles. I am looking to start riding again. Does anyone know a good place semi-close to Dallas that does lessons? Its been quite a while since I was out of practice. I'd like a place that has horses for lessons then after I get back into the swing of things, I'd like to get my own horse again.

I've never heard of a lesson place for timed events. Usually these are clinics that you go to with your own horse. All of the western lesson places I'm aware of focus on teaching equitation/horsemanship riding.

Josey Ranch is awesome. Martha and RE Josey are the world's best teachers! I'm an alumni from about 20 years ago!!!
