Considering you live in NY and have visited here how many times???.....maybe you should have stopped after mentioning your Friso connection.

Highland Park ISD is the top public school district in North Texas, one of the top 2 in Texas, and a top 20 high school in the entire country. The district pulls from ritzy HP which you drove through (avg home price $1.3M +) and more family-friendly University Park (avg home price $800-900k.....about the same as Starwood, maybe a tad less, but you know that since you recommended Starwood, right?!) There are also a fair amount of less expensive condos and home and duplex rentals in the Park Cities for those who aren't millionaires- or even close. My class' #2 graduate was a kid who grew up in an apartment near SMU that currently rents for around $1,000/mo (or the mortgage + taxes + insurance of a $150k home.) Did you not see those on your HP home tour?! Bet not.

Seriously- you live Upstate NY and have no insight into comparing one school district to another here in DFW. Why on earth would you try to help this poor mom, behind your Frisco ISD knowledge.

Great news! Good luck to your family! I think your daughter will find the attention she needs in HPHS and as parents, you will always be satisfied with the prompt attention teachers & admins will give you.
