Hello! Thanks to everyone for the great info posted on this site!

My family and I are moving to Plano at the end of the month and have been out a few times on house-hunting trips. We really like the neighborhood called "The Estate of Forest Creek" around Hearst Castle Way. We are in our 30's and have a 14 1/2 year old son. We are looking for an area where we'll meet our neighbors...maybe bbq on weekends, etc. We are especially looking for a place with lots of kids and teenagers.

Does anyone have any experience with the Forest Creek or Deerfield neighborhoods?

Oh, my husband really, really wants a 3 car garage and we also think we'll need a pool.

Thanks !!!

I really like Deerfield. Very classy, older homes, custom builders. Nieghborhood just has a good feel.

Also, at Christmas the lights are awesome as everyone in there decorates.

Check out the photos here:

Resale in Deefield is good as well as it has a great reputation in Plano.

Not even sure where the other nieghborhood is that you mentioned, maybe others will know.

The only thing I don't like about Deefield is that it is a bit off the beaten path (I prefer better access to 190 and the Tollway) because it is pretty far into North Plano.

Thanks, socketz. We are going to rent something for while before buying so that we can be sure we like the neighborhood. Thanks again for the reply.

ps--the other neighborhood I mentioned is a square area between Coit and Independence Pkwy, and Hedgcoxe and Legacy. But we haven't been able to find anything for lease in there.

Does anyone know of anything? I've tried the Dallas Newspaper classifieds, Realtor dot com, and the Ebby site....
thanks.
