There are many great places to live throughout the DFW metroplex. Most of the newer areas are on the north side of the metroplex.

Find a job first, then worry about where to live. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of good, safe, new neighborhoods in Dallas with good public schools. Many have a lot of homes under $200k.

What you don't want to do is get your heart set on Mansfield or Forney or Frisco and find a job 40 miles away....that would mean up to 2 hours each way in the car. Traffic here is insane and there's no reason to take on a major commute unless you really like stressful drives and paying tolls!
