I have noticed that when reading threads concerning relocating most people wanted good schools & safety. Those are a given as far as what is desired. But I noticed that most whites didn't want to be the minority. Even if they were moving to a middle class area with home prices 200K and up. This was a little bit of a surprise to me.Stereo-typing and preconceived bias still play a large roll in everyday life. Will we ever be just Americans? People talk like they want this, but their actions tell us what they really want.

I'd hope not. Do you mean gentrification or whites moving into an established ethnic area?

For us it will not be. We plan to move from Conway, AR to the McKinney/Plano/Frisco area and the makeup of a certain aree will not play a major factor for us. I think yes you notice it but we will not let it be a deciding factor. Good schools, safe neighborhoods, easy commutes are way more important to us.

Its part of the human condition..Happens all over the world not just America, accept it as fact and move on, live your life and don't worry about it. People are biased, people want to live near people that share similar values etc. People have right to think this way and choose where to live based on it, it's what makes "America" great.

I could care less if I had white people, black people or brown people living on my street. What I look for in a neighborhood is how the homes are cared for, appearance of the neighborhood, safety etc. There is trash in all races.
