Default From NYC as well..

I moved here from the city 3 yrs ago and while I love it here (cost of living..weather) I do really miss the support of having family around. It was really hard when I was pregnant. As far as renting first.. please do. There is so much to choose from down here, especially in your price range. Take your time to discover the different neighborhoods and really research before buying so you make sure you are where you want to be. We chose quickly and I always wish we had looked a little more. Frisco square is very nice. Good luck with everything!

Have you checked Allen? It has good schools and good teachers. It is safe and the city is growing (fast).

I have noticed most people that move down here usually face hot summers, food with taste, anti-Yankee baseball fans, sorry education, and a general population hate of Yankee people period. Not to mention jack up the local real estate prices. They do get home sick and tired of the redneck population then eventually go back home. Just thought I would be blunt and say what the others won't and save you some time.
