Default Las Colinas-LaVilllita

We are moving out to Dallas from Florida and looked all over and found this newer community very nice with Mediterranean/Spanish homes. We were told alot of plans for that area in the near future, ie DART running there, outdoor concert area, large retail area?? Anyone have any comments or heard about this nice little community??

I used to work in the Community Development Dept. for the City of Irving. La Villita and Las Colinas are the newest and nicest neighborhoods in Irving.

They are also pretty expensive for Dallas. They do have nice amenities but you can also get those same amenities elsewhere in the DFW area and not pay an arm and leg for a home.

Also, Irving is a split community. If you drive around you definitely see the differences between north Irving and south Irving.

Valley Ranch is also a nice area in Irving, north of 635.

La Villita will have there own elementary school next school year (2008-2009). It is a Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD school. I imagine based off what I've seen CFB do with schools that the school will be state of the art. I know a few families in that area and they truely enjoy living in that part of the community.
