Hi, I am moving to lewisville, TX (dallas area) this summer. My 7 yr old, verbal, moderately affected son with autism currently has a full program (40hrs) of services from the school district we are currently living in. Can anybody attest to the quality of the autism services (ABA, speech and OT) available in the lewisville school district? Thank you in advance.

call the district--ask for the special needs coordinator--I am sure there is one--
can probably find it on the district web site

frankly if you son is "moderately affected" I don't think he will get that kind of intensive assistance from ANY public isd here in TX

I'm curious, what school district are you coming from? We're in Houston and looking to move.

I went down to talk to one of the school district Special Ed Specialist, but it didn't help much. She said I would need to know where I will lave (address...) and then go to the schools in boundry and find out from there. I wanted to find out about school first before I moved as I'm flexible on where I can live. If I could find a school that offers good Special Ed for my son, I can move to that school boundry. But the answer I got didn't help me at all.
If you could find out anything about it for LISD, please let me know as well. I appreciated it very much. Thanks.
