The only one that is more integrated than Dallas-Fort Worth is the Bay Area, otherwise Dallas-Fort Worth beats Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, & Atlanta in Racial Integration.

Can't rep you Danny, but I would.

And as a proud mix of heritages, I say bring on the diversity.

Dallas (and DFW) is not the most diverse city in the country, but it is easily one of the most underrated places for diversity.

This makes the largest ethnic groups in DFW: Mexican, Indian, Vietnamese, Salvadoran, and Chinese.

Its nice to see stats to back that up. Thanks again Danny!

I think that is really good analysis, justme02. I went to the zoo yesterday, and heard about 5 different languages -- from Russian to Chinese. In fact, I felt like the minority speaking English to my daughter!

Dallas is not the most diverse city. But many people who relocate here (on this board) seem to think its full of cowboy hat wearing white people who ride horses and have never seen a person of color. Frankly, it's not hard to overcome those very low expectations.

This is because DFW didn't really start becoming really diverse until this decade, so of course the stereotypes will still linger.

Even more so than diversity, I hear people complain about a lack of integration in DFW. Thanks for posting what clearly proves otherwise.

Diversity in Dallas is a fairly recent thing. I'd say over the past 10-15 years.

Before that it was just another predominately White & Black, conservative White Collar city.
