Personally, I think you're nuts! JK. Vermont has always been one of those states I thought was built for beauty. It's on my list of states I want to visit. Glad you're enjoying your move to Dallas, though. A belated welcome.

Vermont is a beautiful place to settle down but it doesn't have much to offer to a young, fresh out of college professional. If I was a young single I'd rather live in a vibrant city with lots of job opportunities to get my wanderlust out of my system before I settle down and raise a family (if I wish to do that of course). My husband and I met in college. I wanted to move downtown before we settled down and had kids but my husband thought it was a wiser financial move to buy a house. He was right from a fiscal perspective but I still regret not moving downtown and living that urban lifestyle before settling down.
