Super Bowl Celebrities Blow off Events (http://www.myfoxdfw.com/dpp/sports/nfl/super_bowl/020511-Super-Bowl-Celebrities-Blow-off-Events - broken link)

This takes the cake....Rapper Snoop Dog and "Jersey Shore" star Michael Sorrentino, a.k.a. The Situation, also failed to appear at their events

People really pay for this?

I hope that sentiment doesn't carry across as a "Dallas sucks" reason. From everything I have read, the promoters did a poor job and couldn't fund the entertainer. I think you can have crappy promoters anywhere and shouldn't reflect on a "bad" Dallas Superbowl.

Prince cancels concert « Tut. Sulk. Tut.

Shame about Badu though--Dallas is proud of her, rightfully so, and she is proud of her Texas origins too

I'm a huge Prince fan but I can't see paying $1,500 to see him. Something tells me the promoters did have the money to pay Prince for his performance. My guess is the cancellation was not the fault of the Royal Prince.
