Typical self righteous losers.

Brett Favre, sorry, he's a looser too based on the text messages he sent to Jenn Sterger. I can't find any articles as they relate to him fighting dogs, maybe because it's not true, I don't know. Either way in my book he is trash too for his behaviour as it relates to his text messages.

Yeah, nobody loves Brett Favre either. But that's mostly because they're tired of his perpetual off season drama, not because of a "dog scandal." (Any links to this claim?)

Come to think of it, a lot of people hate Rapelisburger, too.

Again, why are you so offended that people don't like Vick?

I don't like what Michael Vick did--but face it--there is real double standard here--don't know if it is because Vick is black or because he violated animal rights but compared to what other athletes do and get away with there is double standard--even after Vick has paid for his crime...

he is one of the few professional sports stars in his prime that has actually done time for what he did in breaking the law...
AND he has come back to still--at least so far--live up to his athletic hype...
so I say cut him some slack--
much better than the way all the news media was sniffing around Ben R at the Super Bowl events and not calling a spade a spade--
it seems that in our society it is ok for a major league QB to sexually assault a young female who is drunk out of her skull and get away with it
but heaven forbid someone should fight/kill dogs...
I guess that shows women how they rank...

I think there is a little racism with Vick but not as much as people claim, IMO. For the sake of comparing two black QBs, I believe if Michael Vick was more like Donovan McNabb, someone people like, and not so cocky like he was in Atlanta, people would be more forgiving than they are now. That's with white QB's or anyone in general. Big Ben is getting hammered right now b/c he's been a jerk in the past to the media and fans and now when he's trying to show some contrition he's not getting the benefit of the doubt because of his previous attitude.

Very well said. I don't see Roethlisberger being vilified the way people have vilified Michael Vick. Not saying either one of them is right...but really?

Vick = dogs
Roethlisberger = a woman (probably women, plural)

Interesting.

But I have to admit, I'm not sure why Dallas (of all cities) would give him a key...and I'm from Atlanta....

Vick did horrendous things, he did his jail time, and is (hopefully) on the path to redemption. I wish him well on that path and I hope he continues and succeeds. I want him to succeed.

That path is a long path, and it will take many years. Not just one or two years. It isn’t a long enough time to start idolizing him in front of children.

Is that so? Any proof to that?

If that is the case, then would I say about Vick is the same for Farve. I care not what race is, anyone who puts animals through that is scum.

No matter the race, no convicted felon deserves keys to any city.

Vick deserves to be able to continue his life since hes paid his debt to society, but that doesnt make him not scum.

We have two subjects going on here and we need to stay on track. Wither you wish Michael Vick well or not does not matter. The question I have is why give someone the keys to the city when they have no affiliation with the city at all. It makes no sense to me.
