Our US Bank will no longer finance mortgages in Texas as of January this year. We have traditonally cultivated a relationship with one bank for all of our financial needs. But, we seem to see only B of A or WF in Dallas. Are there any other banks other than BA or WF that we SHOULD consider?

Where, roughly, will you live - it makes all the difference.

West Plano or Nth Dallas with Plano ISD is what best suits our needs. But I am thinking that there has to be a local bank that covers a certain area of Dallas that focuses on a customer base that does NOT want to deal with a large national bank.

In my experience small banks generally are not the best places to shop for mortgages.

I would suggest that you call Louis at Town Square Mortgage in Frisco. They generate mortgages all over the metroplex.

Other than the ones you mentioned - one huge, one big but not huge.
There are Chase banks at Legacy and Coit, Coit and Spring Creek, Coit and Park and Spring Creek and Preston and there must be others, There is a Regions Bank on Preston just south of Spring Creek. I bank at both a really like both.
