Hi,
I am hoping to have a job offer in Arlington soon. As most people who come here, I am looking for advice on where to live. I would look for a free standing 3bd room house to rent. I have no school aged children. It would just be my wife and I. We would prefer a town with a nice walkable downtown area / entertainment district. I would prefer an middle / upper middle class area. We are mid 40's professionals. Thanks in advance.

What is your budget? You will probably want to rent initially...... suggest you consider Fort Worth near Hulen and Hwy 1-30, Arlington Heights area.

Hard to find SFH with good commute to FTW and also walkability neighborhood. These are the best I see that are in areas I would enjoy:

This one is close to the urban area, pretty good walkability
3509 Rogers Avenue Fort Worth TX - Rental Home - MLS #11521985 - Realtor.com®

This one is more suburb and; about 3/4 mile walk to strip shopping centers. Very near mall, nice area: 6941 Stockton Drive Fort Worth TX - Rental Home Listing - MLS #11520812 - Realtor.com®

This one is in Southlake, which is a shopping mecca, but very suburban. Southlake is a very expensive area and this house is extremely low rental for the area. 1045 Summerplace Lane Southlake TX - Home for Rent - MLS #11508013 - Realtor.com®

North Arlington, a pretty nice area, very short drive to shops & parks
602 Pine Meadow Court Arlington TX - Rental Home - MLS #11521343 - Realtor.com®

Southwest Arlington, near Parks Mall and mega shopping. Pretty area.
4401 Waycross Dr Arlington TX - Home for Rent - MLS #11551096 - Realtor.com®
