Advice for moving a family to dallas
My ex husband is accepting a job in dallas at the airport. We have joint custody so my husband and I have decided to move there also. I have no idea what communities to start looking in. We need to be in the same school district per our divorce agreement. I want to be in a good school district. We are used to spending about $525 for a 2 bedroom apartment, and I would like to get 3 bedrooms since I have a boy and a girl. Currently my ex's commute is about 35-40 min, so I know he would be agreeable to that time frame. Any suggestions to an area in that distance of the airport with a good school and relatively low housing costs would be greatly appreciated. Any information will be helpful since I have only been to dallas to visit. Thanks in advance, Jenna

I just talked to my ex's wife and she said she is looking at Hurst. Does anyone have any suggestions on rental agencies or apartments there?

You might check over on the Ft. Worth board for Hurst information.

Right around Euless you will find some nicer apartments and good schools. Matter of fact a friend of mine just moved into some apartments directly across the street/within a mile or two from the administration building for Euless's schools. Her two bedroom is quite nice. I imagine there are some 3 bedrooms in her complex too. However, I don't know that you will find something for under $900 as that is on the low end for a 3 bedroom apt/townhome in the metroplex. That is if you want something in a safer area. Sorry I can't remember the name of her apartments but they are very close to DFW as well. Hope this helps some.

Just so you know, the cities of Hurst, Euless and Bedford share one school district. I'd look into using an apartment locator service, which is free to you and paid by the apartment complex, to help narrow down your search quickly.
