I work in Dallas and my husband works in Arlington. We are currently living in Frisco because my husband used to work in Plano. We are thinking of moving to an area that would be good for both of us. We have one son so schools are a big consideration as we don't want to go private.

Irving is close to Arlington and is a very nice, growing area.

Some of the Irving area is in the Carrollton ISD and has good elementary schools. - La Villita, Hackberry elementary's are all good schools.

Dallas & Arlington are big areas. Are you downtown & him in north or south Arlington ?

How about Bedford or Colleyville ? Both have real good schools and would work for you guys.

Where in Dallas do you work? If you are downtown you might look at Mansfield.

Yes, I work in the medical district. He is near Cowboy stadium. Everyone tells me Coppell. I want a really excellent school district. Is Mansfield nice?

Coppell is a good choice but can be rather expensive and it's hard to find a good home. I still stick with Bedford & Colleyville also.

You might look at homes in all 3 areas. These cities along with the Grapevine area all very close together with Coppell being the farthest out from Arlington. Depending on your price range also look in Hackberry Creek & La Villita in Irving - all Carrollton ISD.

Colleyville is even more expensive than Coppell. Coppell also has some of the highest property taxes in Dallas County.

Do look at Grapevine, too. It's between Bedford and Coppell, and your husband will have very easy access to Arlington on 360.

Mansfield is nice but I did the commute from Mansfield to Childrens Hospital for about 5 years. It is a nightmare!!!!!

I live in Las Colinas and own property in Arlington near Fielder and I-30 and its an easy peasy 20 min. drive between North Irving and North Arlington. I also work a few days a month right near Children's Hospital (I-35 & Medical Dist. Dr.) and it takes me about 15 minutes from my house.

The La Villita area of Las Colinas/Irving is a great location for you if your kids are elementary school aged. Hackberry Creek in Las Colinas has a blue ribbon elementary school that serves that gated community; I believe some of the homes in Hackberry are also in the Coppell school district.

Coppell is a great choice; Bedford, Euless (north of 183) or Colleyville might also be good choices for school and location.

North Oak Cliff/Kessler Park is a perfect location for you if you use private schools......
