In California, Colorado and Louisiana you pay school taxes. I am also pretty sure my girlfriend in Hawaii pays too because we've talked about it before.

I know for a fact AR doesn't. One of my closest friends and ex girlfriend, both born and raised and have owned homes in Arkansas.

In this century? I went to college there and called my college roommate today about it.

This is a dumb topic. If there are no facts to back it up, then why bother with the "he says she says" banter. Who cares.

Ah yes downtown DC - the only place (after years of travel all over the USA and the world) that I was ever robbed. And twice in one night.

There is some nightlife along 7th street, but the rest of downtown DC has no nightlife. The area with federal buildings has no life at night. You go to DuPont Circle, Adams-Morgan or U street for nioght life in DC. Downtown LA? You're crazy.

If you can provide a list of 26 states and point to their legislative exemptions for school taxes, then I would.

LOL about the beaches, a lot of states bring in sand from other states to keep their beaches sandy...so what's the difference really between that and manmade lakes?

Also I was told Caddo Lake is the only natural lake in the state. And it's beautiful IMO to boot.
