I have always loved these.

A few days ago I bought some at the drive thru and when I got home I noticed they had little stickers on them [Potato & Egg, Chorizo & Egg, Bacon & Egg, etc.]

At first I thought, "Cool idea, now I know which is which."

After eating them, I know the reason why they do this now. Instead of making them when you order them like before, now they have been sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long.

They were stale, dried out, and gross. Even drowning them in salsa didn't help.

Anyone have any good recommendations for breakfast tacos? It's been a while since I had them at Whataburger, but I don't recall them being that great.

Depends on what part of town you are in. If you are anywhere nearby The Taco Joint (http://thetacojoint.com/default.aspx - broken link) is hard to beat.

Whataburger's are still good, but price has gone up. Sonic's are okay, plus they are sold all the time not just in the morning. McDonalds are gross. Jack in the Box's are okay but super messy but they have really good salsa. The breakfast tacos from the cafe in the First Baptist Church downtown are really really good, but take forever (I used to work in a nearby highrise). I tried Taco Bueno's once and the cheese they use is that liquid nacho cheese and I didn't like it.

Second the Taco Joint recommendation. If you're near White Rock Lake, check out Good to Go Tacos at Peavy/Garland.

Good 2 Go is GREAT!!....the Ranch Hand is my breakfast taco there. And you can have the pleasure of an amazing coffee from Stir - the cortado is a coffee lover's dream....

I'm a little irritated at Taco Joint after waiting 20 minutes last Fri for my one migas taco. They were packed! Over packed with orders!! Maybe another weekday is better than a Friday.

They sure do- I would also recommed Del Taco breakfast quesadilla. Although Del Taco is in Denton and McKinney only for now.

Taco Cabana has been disgusting and sucky for years. Before I went vegetarian I used to eat their fajita tacos until they got way too disgusting even for me. Ten plus years ago they were still decent quality...20 years ago they were outstanding. I used to visit San Antonio with my family pretty frequently and we'd always hit Taco Cabana down there.

Love that place. Was in on Saturday and they actually had added an extra to my phone order that I didn't ask for - so when I told them they said, 'oh just keep it, no charge - you might like it' And I did! Everything is good at Taco Joint. And they had a concert on the roof with Adam Ant and Pavarotti (April Fool's Joke).

Another vote for Good to Go. Downtown, Taco Borracho in the mosaic lobby has good breakfast tacos.
Along 75, I like Torchys off of SMU blvd for breakfast.
