I know im very late but Im looking for a good tax accountant that has been in the bussiness for awhile and knows all rules regarding filing taxes and can give you a max return on your taxes.

Another question I had was if accountants give quotes on tax returns?
If so Id like to get a few quotes within the next day or 2 before the april 18th deadline.
Thanks.

you want a tax accountant that will follow the rules and not put you in jepordy if you are audited

we have a firm we feel is excellent and knowledgeable--and they have helped us take advantage of tax laws to maximize our situation--
that being said we are also in different position than most tax filers because of how my husband earns most of his income--

frankly good tax firms aren't looking for new business at this time of the year

At this late date, any good tax accountant may take on your business, but they'll definitely be filing an extension for you. If you expect to have your return ready by Monday, DIY with Turbo Tax or H&R Block are going to be your only choices.

The really good tax accountants will have wanted all of your paperwork shortly after you received your W2's and 1099 forms. And probably will have done estimates and prep worksheets before that even...
