Good Day!

If anyone can provide me with any information I would be greatful.
I am moving to Texas in September and was wondering how hard is it to find a job there? I have been applying to places left & right and I don't know if it's because I am still in Indiana or if they are not interested. If you can share your experience I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I am planning on pursuing a nursing degree after taking accounting courses. Any info you have would be appreciated. Thanks in advace[/quote]

Also, how hard is it to gain employment with the county of Dallas? What middle schools and high schools are considered "good" schools? I have 2 daughters ages 14 & 16 and one 17 year old son. Thanks for any information you can share.

Fairly broad question, it looks like you're not really looking for any one particular field?

If you have good people skills and a lot of time and energy to go through hundreds of job listings, you can get a job...but there are many others looking for those same jobs, just like anywhere else.

Any reason in particular you're relocating to Texas? Not that we wouldn't love to have you aboard, but from what I've read here, if you don't already have a job lined up, it's going to bite you in the rear.

What area of Dallas are you looking to move to?

Thanks for your message and you honesty which is what I need. Basically the reason for my move is because I need to get my teenagers in a better environment. This is rather difficult for me because I have a good job and a steady job for the past 15 years, in addition to I am hours away from an Accounting degree. It's my need to relocate for these children, especially my son. I figured I could finish my degree there, I just need a job to make it through the rest of these semester hours. North Dallas is my target area, I have a few friends there.

There is nothing in your post that can't be answered by reading and searching more threads in the forum. I believe there was another post in the past 24 hours about the job market that should answer your question.

Thanks, I actually believe I found this post and have been reading since I created my own. It looks as if I will have my work cut out for me to say the least, but anything is possible. Appreciate your input.

Honestly stay put and finish your degree there. A lot of your credits might not be transferrable. As I soon found out when I arrived here in 05. Once you get your degree then secure a job and transfer.

I understand the children situation- however you need to make sure you are taken care of as well. And moving to the unknown with no job and college credits that a Texas College might not take your just taking steps in reverse.

Plus when you get the job you could have a 2 hr commute if you don't live near.
