Wingfields............meh, typical dine in oversized patty falling apart greasy spoon. Its like a meatloaf on a bun with a touch of veggies. You can have it.
You might be confusing Wingfields with another place. There is not a dine in option. Nothing at all like a meatloaf and they have no concept of a touch of anything.

The Grape Closed? Are you sure?

Went there once--wasn't a great experience, but I'd be truly surprised if it was closed. I live close enough--guess I can just drive by on my way home!

As far as Burgers, we went to Goff's once. Downright awful. Twisted Root is pretty dang delicious, though.

I think I got it. Looks like they stuck a piece of meat loaf on a bun and sprinkled on some onions and lettuce......nasty....

+1 I have not tried In & Out Burgers yet but those long lines were made up of mostly transplants. Some of these same folks who stood in line for hours for Crispy (way to much suger) Creme donuts which I find terrible.

If you didn't have to stand in line then you called in your order before you went.

A co-worker, on the recommendation of a friend, suggested we go there one day. Working in Las Colinas, we headed right on down, car doors locked

There were a few people in line, getting their orders, a few walked up and got their to go orders, we ordered and waited... and waited... and waited... Lunch hour being over, we decided to go ahead and wait some more. I'm not that big on food but by this time, my time was invested.

The burger was good as any I've ever had. Some cost too much. Some take too long. Some are just toooo much food. But I don't suspect there's any better than Wingfield's. Good choice...

This, from the link was funny....

I like the burger at Jake's, one of my favorites. But the Dallas area has a lot of good places.

Hole in the Wall - on Harry Hines
Club Schmidt's - near Bachman Lake

Heck, for a low-cost burger Braum's is good.

In&Out fans are very diffrerent from Krispy Cream fans and the quality of the product is different. You are right, in my opinion KK are not great: they are too sweet and can be really greasy. BTW they are not the same folks who stand in line for IN&Out: KK isn't even popular in Ca, it is more east coast.
