I have 2 boys ages 7 & 8. They have just come to the age of they want to get involved in organized sports and when I ask parents that have kids in sports they get all hush hush like its a secret society. This is so FRUSTRATING for me! Uh! My fellas want to play and right now they really don't care what sport as long as they get to play something. Please help a mommie in need! Thanks

If there r seasonal sports or schedules please let me know. I am totally clueless on the sports thing right now.

Thanks again

What part of the city are you in? Different areas have different organizations. For instance there is:
SVAA Home - Spring Valley Athletic Association - SVAA (Richardson and North Dallas)
Plano Sports Authority http://www.psaplano.org/testsite/
Frisco Football League Home - Frisco Football League as well as others including all of the YMCAs.

Your kids should have received flyers from their school - if they are in public school.

look at the parks and rec centers in your area.
Most will offer summer camps for different sports etc...
Every city/suburb has organized youth sports. Just google your city and youth sports...
right now summer swim leagues are starting (reg was in april/may in our area but I bet you can still get in) YMCA's run youth leagues and so do some churches. Upward runs basketball and ootball I think.
rec soccer is over for now. They will begin to register for fall play in the summer. (fall and spring leagues)
baseball/t-ball is over or finishing up
spring football is just about over, but fall registration should start soon.
basetball will register usually in fall.

I googled for Dallas... here are just a few that poped up:

area YMCA's:
Home Page - Main YMCA
Home Page
Home Page
T. Boone Pickens YMCA - Center of Arts District

baseball:
Dallas Youth Baseball - (Dallas, TX) - powered by LeagueLineup.com

football:
Football in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex
Metroplex Youth Football League - (Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, TX) - powered by LeagueLineup.com
North Texas Youth Football Association - (Arlington, TX) - powered by LeagueLineup.com

soccer:
FC Dallas Youth

Not sure if they are interested in Hockey, but the Dr Pepper Star Centers run a good youth hockey rec/developmental program. There's 4 (5?) centers around the DFW area
