Default Risd

FarNorthDallas,

What bad experiences did you have with RISD? I know you have mentioned the fact that they teach the test to a science in previous posts. I still think a child can get a pretty good education in that district especially in the Pearce and RHS zones from K-12.

I know some people in the district have a problem with the "apartment kids" being the majority of many of the schools in the LH/Berkner zones and are afraid for their kids. Most of these kids are black and brown. The socioeconomics except for the west side of RISD have changed over time but the proof shows that any kid can get a good or great education.

I'm over on the Pearce/Richardson side of the district. I could write a book about my complaints of Richardson ISD. I do know people who are happy with Richardson ISD. It's not a total washout. I just don't have it in me to type it all out.
