Welcome. Another St Paul Baby
Seemed I knew the ER nurses there well as a small child. I think my mom even left me by myself downstairs to wait for my grandparents when her OB sent her straight there from next door during a doctors visit when pregnant w/ my lil sis. Back in the days when it was safe to leave a 5 year old alone in a building. LOL! Like in the toy section at Sears at Valley View Mall

My grandfather worked at Parkland when JFK was brought in.

With all these St. Paul babies it should've been named the Dallas Baby Hospital, lol.

I think back in the day before Medical City came along you either went to St. Paul or Parkland. Plus all those suburban hospitals were not around yet.

Most of the Dallas natives I know were born at Baylor.

I was born here, albeit barely. I was born in September of 1980 at Medical City Hospital. Lived in Dallas until I was 5, we moved to Rowlett after that and stayed there until I was 12 or 13. Briefly stayed in Dallas with my mom 93 then we moved to Garland in January of 94 and I have been here since.

The explosive suburban growth is probably the most obvious. Rowlett is hardly recognizable from what it was when I lived there. McKinney was almost a day trip when I was a kid, no one had heard of Frisco, and Plano was booming when I was in my early teens. I can vaguely remember Richardson being the "it" area. Seeing some parts of Dallas and even Garland take a nosedive is another thing I recall.

I was having a chuckle because you said a lot of people were born at Baylor when here virtually everyone was born at St Paul, that's all.
