When I was doing construction we called them chop saws. Diamond tipped blade. Stihl made the one we had. Probably overkill and expensive for just a one time use though.

If you have a circular saw, get a dewalt masonary blade for it at lowes ($3) and a mason's chisel. You will be good to go.

Kinda depends on many pavers you are going to cut. For just a few you can use a circular saw with a masonary blade. If you have quite a few to cut rent a brick saw from Home Depot.

Yep! If they are thinner then you should be fine for a limited amount, but a brick saw (gas powered) is the way to go and will cut your time, and wear and tear on your circ. saw significantly.

I just had a several hundred sqft of Oklahoma flagstone installed - they used Stihl chop saws and diamond blades. Good grief the noise and the dust.

OP wear a respirator and ear plugs for sure. The dust and noise is unbelievable.
