I just moved to Dallas from Chicago (Lakeview) last Friday, and I'll agree with the recommendations of Lower Greenville and Uptown (my personal preference between the two would be Lower Greenville). Uptown attracts a young crowd and has lots of restaurants and bars, but is not at all like Wrigleyville. In fact, I haven't seen any place here that I would call similar. I ended up living about a mile north of Deep Ellum, in an area that reminds me a little of Ravenswood.
