Hi CityData posters,

I've recently relocated to the Dallas/Addison area. I hear Addison is a fun/hopping area for bars & clubs. Where would you recommend to mingle with single 30 somethings here or surrounding areas? Hot spots to cocktail/serve/bartend? Decent staffing agencies? I appreciate any info!

The hot spots are in Uptown or Knox-Henderson areas of Dallas. Addison is fine for Bennigans.

Hamiltonpl - thank you for your thoughts. Any specific places I should hit up in Uptown, Knox-Henderson areas? Any places in particular you could recommend I check out to rent?

Bennigans? lol, you are so bad. I know tons of 30 somethings that frequent the Londoner in Addison. Check it out. The Londoner Pub - Addison, TX:: Weekly Specials

I second the suggestions. Sherlocks has a band on the weekends usually.
I'll add Duke's Roadhouse.

Uptown has more of an urban feel, but Addison is fun, too. Plenty of people your age hang out there, and you won't even find a Bennigan's there. The biggest drawback to Addison, IMO, is the absurd traffic. While it probably has the highest per capita of bars and restaurants in Dallas, its layout isn't the most pedestrian friendly, so the thousands and thousands of daily visitors can be an annoyance on the roads. Uptown's drawback is that it is a giant magnet that attracts the highest number of douchbags per capita in the Dallas area. Every negative stereotype about Dallasites can be fully observed on McKinney Avenue. Henderson Avenue, like Greenville, Deep Ellum, and everything else east of 75, is pretty cool.
