The Galleria was the final nail in the coffin. NorthPark and Town East are the only malls that have had a lifespan longer than 30 years.

Hulen, Ridgmar, and North East Mall say, "Hello!"

....unless you were only referring to the eastern side of the metroplex, of course!

Try Redbird (Southwest Center), Collin Creek, Six Flags, Preston Wood (oops), Big Town, Richardson Square just off the top of my head.

Hubby trekked over there in April looking for a Sears...he said it was pretty dead. Did it officially close? Need to find another JC Penney.

There's a nice one at Collin Creek Mall but they're going to be building one (I hear) at Skillman and Northwest Highway.

It is very dead with no big "anchor" stores, but isnt' it still open? I just drove by there yesterday and there were quite a few cars at JC Penney. (although, I do think the new JCP at Skillman & NW Hwy will mean the demise of the one at Valley View)

Yipeee!!! That's a short skip from my house! Isn't that where they are also building the massive WalMart?
