I'd say you can pm me the address of the house you are interested in and I can give you all of the inside scoop on it but I'm not allowed to send pm's or receive them...... I could also give you more insight into the elementary school information via pm that I would not put out here. URGH!!!!![/QUOTE]

Why can't you send/receive PMs? (Sorry, I'm new here.) I would definitely love to get more info on the schools and neighborhood.

House is in firewheel estates 01 and is a large lot-which we love. Every time we drive through the neighborhood we see more elderly couples out than anything else. That's not necessarily bad but we would like to have neighbors with kids our kids ages.

I wish I could. I got outed by a psycho on here and because of that I got banned for awhile and they took pm rights away from me. And I was the victim. Long story and pretty pathetic.

The entire Firewheel area is about half and half. Half families w/ school aged kids and half empty nesters. You will have plenty of neighbors w/ school aged kids. You are just going to see the older couples out more walking in the neighborhood than the younger ones as the ones w/ kids are usually busy w/ their kids activities (or at work). Even in our neighborhood w/ a lot of young families I see more older couples walking. The area is active and that is why it attracts the active older set or it keeps them in the house they raised their kids in as they know all of their neighbors and are active in the area. If you want to see all of the younger ones just take a trip up to LifeTime Fitness. They are there by the boatloads. Instead of walking the neighborhood they take them to the gym while they work out and then to the pool for fun.

But several years later, I was subbing there on a pretty regular basis. The reputation had improved and I was very impressed with the students and staff. Actually it seemed that the parental involvement was a key. But the principal that turned it around was tapped for Sachse HS.

And over time Webb took a downturn. Although when it had a good reputation, the current Rowlett HS principal was the Vice Principal there. Who also now happens to be married to the Sachse HS Principal. Clear as mud?
I went to Bussey from 1994, to 1996 it was bad back then, I can only imagine its much worse now. Sellers was ba dback then as well, and I know for a fact it has not changed. A friend of mine taught there a couple years back. There were girls that were pregnant! The teachers would find explicit note on the ground written by the kids about their escapades.

DH says the same thing about Webb.

My experience with Bussey was this, many of the kids acted like they were in a gang. whether or not they were, I never knew as I was one of the nerds. They had to do touch ups on our 8th grade class photo because some of the hoodlums threw gang signs in the photo. Many of the kids were smoking, drinking, and doing drugs. A group of girls got caught drinking on campus. My friends and I had stuff stolen from us. Most of the kids come from families where the parents don't give a crap. Everyone thought I was some spoiled rich kid because my parents were actually involved and bought me things. Needless to say I was thrilled when I got out of 8th grade and most of the other kids from Bussey headed to NGHS.
