If I leave the A/C off, will the heat make any damage of my house?

Yes, it could. Leave it on about 75 or 80 and you should be fine.

Keep it on but set it to 80 or so. Just in case. That's what we always do.

Right answer! Your electronics will fry if you don't keep the AC on.

75 or 80? There is no reason for that. I was just gone for 10 days and set it at 85 so it wouldn't run all night. You won't have any problems at 85 or probably a little higher.

75-80? LOL. Ours is on 76 when we're home. 85 degrees is good while you're gone - it will keep the house from getting too hot/humid and will keep the drywall screws from popping.

It's probably a good idea to unplug your tv/stereo/etc while you're gone (in case we have an electrical storm) - and turn off the water feed to your hot water tank, toilets and washing machine (if one of those lines leaked while you were gone for 10 days - you'd be screwed).

I was thinking the same thing. 85 is what I set my air on when I am going out of town.

This.

When we were selling our house we kept the electricity on until we got a renter. I put the air on 86 for about a month and I had no problems.
