I seem to remember that number being 844 and any four numbers. Is it still the same and is it both a 972 and 214? Gosh I miss the days of 7 digit dialing.

Yes, it is. I used to dial 844-1111, because it took less time to dial 1111 on a ROTARY DIAL!

One of the other names for the club in Old Town behind Tom Thumb was Max's. They did the same Trash Disco on Sunday nights as well. Monopoly's, Confetti's, Beggars (down by Bachman Lake in European Crossroads), Roxy (wasn't Roxy down in that area as well by Bachman?), Club Clearview. Then when the West End opened up w/ FIVE BARS UNDER ONE ROOF! WOO-HOO party time. lol. Gator's down the street w/ the piano bar and peach belini's.
FYI, it is BANK OF AMERICA doing it now and has for several years.
I still use 844-_ _ _ _. I always dialed 844-1234 for some reason I liked that best. All 1's because it was a rotary - LOVE IT! Sometimes they don't have the temp - here we are with supposedly MORE technology and this simple service that has been around for decades can't even give out the TEMP???? I hate Bank of America doing it. Aren't they the ones that started doing the ads on it BEFORE it gave you the time and temp?

Right - 972, 214 is BOA. 817-844-_ _ _ _ is CHASE, and that's also the one that gives a short forecast.

Anyone remember LaBare? (sp?) It was a place for ladies with male strippers. I went there with my friend shortly after we graduated high school. We were all excited about going, and in reality it was pretty corny.

I worked at One Energy Square and we had a great view of that whole area. One day during happy hour, La Bare caught fire (not serious) and all the ladies poured out into the parking lot with the strippers. It was quite a sight.

Dunston's is too far south. This is on the west side of HH, across from the present Raceway gas station (or close to it).

Ewwww, did you HAVE to mention THAT place. Went there once myself w/ some ladies from work way back when. We went to take one of the older divorced ladies out for the evening. I think she had more fun just hanging out w/ us young 20-22 year olds than she did watching THAT show.
