Remember when, in the early 80's before Dallas had cable TV, a couple of UHF stations broadcast scrambled signals of adult content shows? My brother in law didn't have a decoder box but would watch for hours hoping to catch a glimpse of a boob.

Went to School with the owner of Southfork, Joe Duncan's, kid. Fuddruckers: someone said it's been at 75 and Park for 20 years. I don't think it's been that long. It was previously located where El Paso mexican restaurant is, at 15th and 75. That building also used to be a Joe Willy's. Lot's of fun there...

Some places I'll NEVER forget, like South Fork Ranch; that place was AWESOME!
Buuuuuut....
I remember a 2-level mall down there, but I only remember the logo; a bird perching on a pine twig that splits into two tufts of pine needles. I remember not wanting to do the whole thing too.
I also remember a wedding/reception hall called the White Palace/White Castle/White something, and it had a scalloped roof like castle ramparts. Where is this?
Also remember a Fuddruckers that was next to a highway onramp. Same with an Irving station, but I think I found it already, and apparently it's not an Irving anymore. (this is where Coit Road and West Spring Creek Parkway meet)
There was also this steakhouse I think was called the Texas Bar and Gril. Know where that is?
I would really like to visit these places again, if only virtually...

I just noticed that Joe Willy's is no longer at Greenville @ Park. When did they close?

I actually want to say the mall your thinking about was/is Collin Creek. I think they changed the logo sometime ago.
Could the wedding/reception place your thinking about have been in the Canyon Creek area of Richardson? It was called "The Castle at Canyon Creek" for DECADES. Just recently got a facelift and changed names.

I'm trying to remember that particular one but some of the owners of some of the Joe Willy's locations went bankrupt or got shut down. Some could not pay their bills and got forced to close. Some did not pay rent and got shutdown by the landlord (I believe the one in Allen had that happen). Had to deal w/ some of them for nonpayment....... pita.

Back in the early - mid 80's there was a hamburger joint in Plano called "General Sanders". They served up little White Castle sized burgers, that were seasoned and REALLY tasty. Anyone remember this place and what became of it? It is not to be confused with Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame.

I used to work at Hubbards. I wish it was still there. It was the best food in Richardson.

I remember Joe & Sue Duncan. They both drove Avanti motor cars. One had the license plate of Sue Joe and the other Joe Sue. They were real estate developers and would come into the office where I worked back in the 70s. Over the gate at "Southfork", the name use to read "Duncan Farms".
Olla Podrida was a neat place. I liked the magic shop upstairs.
Do you remember when they use to hold Submarine Races at White Rock Lake?

I think that it closed a few years ago but re-opened soon with a similar sounding name (can't remember). I went there a couple times in the last 2-3 years. But it is closed up for good now just in the last month or two. I thought the business was doing good.
Several good restaurants have closed in the upper Greenville area in the last 10 years, El Arroyo, Uncle Julios, Good Eats, Chillis, The Filling Station, etc.
