Yeah and the first Pigstand was near Bob White's closer to the Spillway.

It was Keller's! On Harry Hines - it all comes back - I drove from Forest Lane and found Kellers. I saw St. Paul's Hospital for the first time - Ended up working at St. Paul's Hospital for my first job in Dalla.
Thanks for the memory boost!

Webbs Chapel and Forest???? I don't recall a drive-in right by there except for the donut store and Polar Bear Ice Cream. I lived close to there right off of Webbs Chapel.
????? I'm trying to picture that area back then

All the best muscle cars were there on the weekends.

Gotta go to Keller's on NW Highway on Saturday nights now for the muscle cars. We go down there.

The Prince of Hamburgers was on Lemmon Ave., several blocks south of Inwood as I recall.

It's still about a block north of Lombardy on the east side of the road. The Mecca is just south of Lombardy.

OKAY! Now I remember. Having to pull up that mental picture in my head from years ago. So much has changed down HH that it is insane. I needed the "old" picture to "see it".

I am old MOMOF2dfw - I am going back to 1965 for that small drive-in. They served good hamburgers and ice cream. I am sure it was torn down to make way for ALL that later development - and come to think of it, it was that same area close to where those two girls dissapeard 20 years later. I worked in the Medical Records Dept. at St. Pauls (1965-66). I remember I got in my car one saturday in the summer of '65 to explore Harry Hines - it was pretty wide open back then.
I got on "Google Earth" several months ago and took a "tour" of Dallas - WOW!!
But I still have a vision of red and white awnings! ....somewhere!??

LOL! Well I'm not "young" even though I act like it many times I just don't want to grow up Well, you were at St. Paul when I came into this world
Around Forest & Webbs Chapel I remember Northtown Mall w/ Montgomery Wards, the cafeteria, movie theater 5 & dime and the shops. Across Forest was Lusky's w/ the horse on top of the awning, El Fenix Cafeteria (the only cafeteria in the area), a shoe store and several other stores and I want to say an auto supply store somewhere in that corner. Pancho's was on the southwest corner as were the Steak & Egg place, a shoe store and several other stores. On the northwest corner I want to say a gas station was right on the corner the lining Webbs Chapel were the freestanding donut store, Polar Bear Ice Cream and another store. Then it ALL got torn down later on and that new development went in.
I've lived right off of Inwood and Denton Dr and then down off Webbs Chapel on the north side of LBJ back in that time.
