I try not to go to Houston........ Plus, it's way too far to travel from Dallas just for seafood.

I'm a fan of Fish City Grill...their fish tacos are really good. Oddly enough...so is their blackened chicken salad. I actually used to work there and still like the food...that's saying something.

Rockfish is good too...probably because their menu is VERY similar to Fish City's (owners of each were partners back in the day)

Daddy Jack's on lower Greenville
Rex's Fish Market on West Lovers & Inwood
Half Shells in Snider Plaza
S&D Oyster in Uptown

Cafe Pacific (Highland Park Village), Palomino (Crescent), and Nick & Sam's (Uptown) all have wonderful- but pricey- seafood on their menus.

Half Shells in Snider Plaza
Sister restaurant to Fish City Grill. I wish they hadn't chosen such a weird name. (Fish City, not Half Shells)

Ooohhh the menu looks good! Have to add it to my list to try. My favorite thing about the menu: not a speck of fried fish in sight! Tired of "seafood" places that have a mile-long list of fried combinations.

I am curious about this place. We enjoy oysters (even my kids) and decided to have a few dozen at the Shuck n Jive. Place doesn't look inviting but the oysters were excellent. Gotta go to Half Shells and compare.

The pecan ball was just featured on a Food Network show by some chef who said it was the best dessert she ever ate.
