That is why, It is MORE important to see waht the PASSING rates are for the AP tests not just how many kids take the class or test.

Is it just me or do some other folks find 51.5% of Plano West Jrs and Srs taking AP tests with 83.3% of tests taken scored as passing.......much more more impressive than FM-M's 32.2% and 33.2%?

Yes impressive for PISD. What I find interesting is that Marcus looks to have outperformed FM. Good for them.

According to Woodrow's 2009/2010 score card: http://www.dallasisd.org/scorecards/pdfcards/022E_WILSON.pdf (broken link) pdf from: Schools-Woodrow Wilson High School (http://www.dallasisd.org/schools/realtor_new.cfm?id_con=94 - broken link)

39% of students took AP test of which 33% passed (score of 3, 4 or 5)

What happened to momof2dfw!? I thought she was dismissed from her time out and able to participate, bummer :-(

Wow - almost 43% of all Jrs and Srs taking and passing - that is pretty impressive, assuming the tests are relatively evenly distributed amongst students and not all clumped with a small group taking many more tests than others. <cough> <cough> (Asians/Indians) <cough>
