Default Is air quality a factor in a move to Dallas

There is a red air quality alert, which is as bad as you can get. This follows an entire week or orange alerts. Heat, humidity and bad air.

But again, you are consulting the weather and all this stuff during the worst time of year. Running at 6 a.m., while like running in a sauna, was bearable and marginally pleasant. And this is the worst time of year.

Yes, I know folks who have moved away due to bad air quality because they had kids with asthma.

I just drove home from downtown Dallas and saw high school football teams outside practicing and marching bands outside practicing. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I don't think it'svery humid out. I straightened my curly hair this morning and it is still straight.

Johnmarq -

Most of your posts are so negative about Dallas. Where do you live?

And if you still live in DFW... why don't you move somewhere else if the air quality is so bad, the humidity so nasty, utility bills so high, and the people are so unfriendly?

Oh what a surprise, another whiney post from john. I agree with lh, if you don't like it then leave. The air quality could be much much worse, and it many large cities it is. There are also places that are much warmer. If you want a pity party, take it elsewhere.

I dunno, someone posted a list last week or so and I didn't see Dallas on the list for bad air? Surprisingly Georgia had quite a few cities, which explains my allergies LOL....although now I'm being catty, I think it's something in the air that can't be measured in GA.

LOL!!! No, he does not live in Dallas or even Texas. Last week he said he once lived here. Funny, in his past posts he was inquiring about Dallas like he had never been here Yes, he has been nothing but negative and whiney complaining about Dallas AND Texas going on and on about how awful and bad it is here. Funny thing is most of the things he complains about like the heat and humidity the Dallas area is NOT even close to being the worst in all of the country. Don't find him slamming those cities and states though - why is that?

As for those that do live here and think it is just as awful as johnmarq and have joined his lil bandwagon and pity party - I feel sorry for anyone that as a grown adult lives somewhere that they despise and hate so much. Life is what you make it and to continue to think negative about the place one resides can sometimes create emotional issues that are not healthy.

IMHO, I view him as nothing more than a troll and a flamer looking to stir up trouble.

Sure wish I had nothing better to do with my time than put down other people. Oh, how it must be nice to have all that spare time.
