My husband and I recently decided to build our own D.R. Horton home in Little Elm since my husband works in Frisco. The subdivision is called Frisco Ranch and it seems like a good neighborhood for first time homebuyers, especially since it is still in the Frisco ISD.

However, neither of us are very familiar with this area.

Can anyone give us some insight/thoughts/opinions about Little Elm, and/or the Frisco Ranch subdivision?

Thank you in advance for your help!

That's the one just north of El Dorado on FM 423? I've seen it but not driven in it. There is a lot of new commerce at the intersection of FM 423 and El Dorado (FM 720). My son lives off FM 423 in the Sunset Pointe area.

I am just a bit leery of all that vacant land beyond it and behind it. Little Elm recently allowed a big apartment complex off 423 that is in the Frisco ISD and people who live nearby are furious! They don't want a big complex behind their expensive homes and the school crowding that it will bring. The opinion seems to be that Little Elm "stuck it" to Frisco.
