Default Jobs in DFW?

As my husband considers relocating to DFW, I need to find a job. I have the perfect job now, so it's going to be tough to find something comprable anywhere. I am not a brain surgeon, but I enjoy what I do...Desktop Publishing for a translation company and I work 30 hours a week--3 days in-office, 2 days from home. It's the absolute perfect set up for me and my family (3 kids). I do not need $30/hr, but I need at least $15-$20, benefits would be nice, but may not be necessary depending on husband's job offer. The key really is flexibility.

In any event, are there DFW companies (big or small) that might have such arrangements?

My husband's company allowed him to work from home 2-3 days a week if he wanted to, but that was up to each supervisor and all that. My girlfriend works at home sometimes as well. With what you do I am sure you can find a company like that, it just might take some time. I work full time at home (medical transcription) but have for 15+ years now and just take my job with me where I go. Maybe you can work out something like that with your current position?

I would love to work from home...My sister-in-law is a MT, and I would love to try my hand at it, but it seems impossible to get into.

I haven't yet told my job here in Austin that I may be leaving...I've been with this company for 10 yrs. It's going to be a tough transition.

I would really like to find something similar. Thanks for your reply.

You can probably get the largest sweep of listed jobs by hitting Job Search | one search. all jobs. Indeed. That is a search system that steps on top of all the rest -- monster, yahoo, craigslist, many other systems and private boards, as well.

Choose your key words and choose Dallas or Fort Worth, Texas, and set the range to 100 miles and you will probably see plenty.

Harder part may be the flex or remote schedule you seek. Dallas area business folks do not tend to be the most creative or innovative in the world. You might want to consider looking into Independent Contractor type status operations as they will usually want the work done off site.
