How is the commute from the mall in Grapevine Lake to down into Colleyville..specifically to the Life Time Fitness club? Is there more than one way to make the commute avoiding the congestion? I'm new to the area. Living in Grapevine Lake and going to the fitness club a lot. Thanks.

Unfortunately the ONLY way to make this commute directly is down Hwy 26/Ira E Woods. That takes you right through the middle of the construction mess. There really is no alternate route due to the railroad tracks and highways.

You could take N Airfield drive around the airport, and then go west on Glade Rd., but depending on what time of day you travel you'll most likely hit traffic on Glade Rd. Most of Glade Road west of 121 is still two lanes, so it's not a road you want to travel at rush hour.

Colleyville also strongly discourages people from cutting through their town by vigorously enforcing the speed limits on Glade, Cheek-Sparger, etc. Don't think these roads are ones you can zoom down unless you want to make a donation to the City of Colleyville...

you don't have to use Hwy 26 but it is probably the most direct
look at a map--
you can take the road that starts/ends across from the parking lot of the Tinseltown cinema south--I forget the name but I use it sometimes going to/from the movie--
and then use Hall Johnson or Glade to go west into the area by Lifetime Fitness
Hwy 26 moves pretty smoothly unless there is construction that closes one lane--
Glade has the stupid traffic circle at Pool
and there can be school zones on Glade which slows traffic

Colleyville has timed the lights on 26 better which helps

AND they do enforce their speed limits--
