And?

Your list isn't in any kind of order and it has no context. Do you own the $9M house? Is that why you signed up for City-Data and made it your very first post?

Probably better to look at the median house price as a former pro quarteback's house probably skews the mean a bit.

And the numbers aren't in any order! 2,4,5,7,1,3,6??

It appears OP took the highest list price homes for sale in each of the randomly selected areas. But OP missed quite a few! The top 10 highest priced area homes are currently->
1. highland Park - $24M - Troy Aikman's home
2. Flower Mound - $19.9M
3. University Park - $16M
4. Rockwall - $14M
5. Dallas - $12.5M - Strait Lane
6. Dallas - $11.4M - Strait Lane
7. Dallas- $10M - W Hotel Penthouse (Schlegel kids residence)
8. Highland Park- $9.9M - Lakeside Drive
9. Dallas- $9.9M- Preston Hollow estate area
10. University Park - $9.9M

That $9M Plano listing is in the top 15 in the metroplex right now, but OP missed/ purposely omitted the Colleyville listing that's $100k higher. The next highest listing in Plano is $6.3M. Only 14 Plano homes are listed over $2M- a very very small piece of the market.

Of the top 50 DFW listings, 20 are in the Park Cities. 18 are in Dallas - 14 in Preston Hollow and Strait Lane and 3 in Uptown high rises. 3 are in Flower Mound. 2 in Colleyville. 2 in Westlake. 1 in Southlake. 1 in Rockwall. 1 in Heath. 2 in Plano.

The most expensive home in Frisco would be the 21st most expensive home in the Park Cities. 5.5% of Frisco listings are over $1M; 50% are over $1M in the Park Cities.

McKinney has 19 active listings over $1M. Allen has 2. Coppell has 4. Southlake has 59, but only 14 are over $2M.

Zip code 75220 in Dallas (Old Preston Hollow) has 35 alone. Adjacent 75229 (Strait Lane & surrounding neighborhoods) has 30 more $1M+ listings, and adjacent 75230 has 64 more. That's 130 listings - more than all of Collin County- in just a few square miles in north Dallas.

So if OP wants to talk about the area's most expensive listings, he/she doesn't even have to go outside loop 635 to find the vast majority of them!

To not exclude our two most "pro- neighborhood" activists, Lakewooder's 75214 comes in with 15 active million- dollar listings and Crew747's beloved Prosper comes in with 6. (That's 4 more than Allen!)

VERY TRUE! Must point out that these are ASKING prices, not VALUES. I can try to sell my condo for $200,000,000, but it doesn't mean it's worth that much!!

Troy will be lucky to get $18M for his home- that's 25% discount off asking.

That sounds a LOT more accurate. i couldn't believe there was nothing in Colleyville on the list!

Yeah 200,000,000 condos tend to sit a bit more than they did in 2006...

There are 40 or more above million and a dozen or two above 900,000 in Plano. These values does not effect median price but helps a lot with area prestige.

I think these values are pretty low due to current market situation. Many of these homes would go for much higher price in a better economy.
