Default Least Romantic

CNN listed the other day, that among other cities such as Seattle, WA, and Albequerque, NM, including Houston, other major areas, that Dallas was listed as the WORST romantic place in the USA.........

I grew up in Houston, spent time in big D, and I know that's right. Don't get me wrong....there are women in Dallas....but rightous, wholesome, cultural, familial values are hard to come by in Dallas. Just my opinion.

I ended up marrying a good woman in Oklahoma, and moving her back to the southern suburbs of the Houston metroplex.

There really is no better place. Americana, perfectana.

I don't get what they mean by least romantic? Like less "romantic" things to do or less "good" women? Meh in my experience romance has more to do with the person than what you do

Are they saying that Turtle Creek Boulevard is not as romantic as the Gary, Indiana steel mills? That the White Rock Lakeshore is not as romantic as the Butte, Montana ore tailings?

Maybe CNN is angry about Fox News hosting the upcoming Republican candidates' debate?

hmmm I don't get what the op is saying? Are you saying that women in Dallas aren't that romantic enough or is it the city itself?

How do you go about measuring something like this? Hook people up to a romance-o-meter? Have a computer scan pictures of Dallas landmarks and recognize certain patterns as "romantic".

When you say "city", does the OP mean the bureaucracy? Is the mayor not up to snuff as a Hollywood leading man? Perhaps the water department or the garbage collection services fails to bring out the romantic in its soul?

If you had to do it, what kind of a test would you devise to prove scientifically that Mesquite is more romantic than Garland? Or less romantic, maybe.

H L Mencken was supposed to have said that "nobody ever went broke by overestimating the stupidity of the public", or words to that effect. P T Barnum said "There's a sucker born every minute". Apparently CNN has found its own niche of suckers.

The "Fair and Balanced" network is looking better and better.

I think OP was trying to say that he didn't meet his soul mate in Texas, so it must be because it's not romantic.

Dallas is romantic enough if you're with the right person.
