Thank you for reminding me how much I hate Bud Selig.

Yeah, home field should be decided by an exhibition game no one cares about.

F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Nolan Ryan gives Washington a fairly loose leash based on some comments I have heard/read during post season but after tonight I think Nolan is going to have a discussion with him...
This is not the normal GM who comes from the business side and played Little League vs Big League...
Nolan knows more baseball than Washington and he was a better player than Washington...he knows what coming through in the clutch means...
he is probably willing to give guys the benefit of the doubt but pitchers??? Give me a break...
he knows more than anyone what a pitcher is capable of doing...
he can still pitch as good as or better than Lowe probably...

Hey--I agree that home field based on the All Star Game is not the best way to handle it...but you know what...that is perfect illustration of "it's yours to win it" philosophy in action...
if I remember correctly CJ Wilson pitched the homerun ball that was hit for the winning run by Fielder on the National side--so that STL as National League champs got home team advantage...
So there is some delicious irony in that history...

2011 Texas Rangers = 1986 Boston Red Sox.

Texas choked BIG TIME. Its going to be tough for them to come back. They are emotionally stunned.

-Cheers.

World Series Game 6: Errors Galore as Cruz Flops, Rangers Lose Shootout in STL | Bleacher Report
think it is pretty fair to both sides in assigning praise and blame--
except it does not touch on the managers' share of either...

Yes sir/ma'am, Young is usually an Ice Man! That must have been a serious blow to him. Just hope he turns it around in Game 7.

Home field or not - the Rangers didn't seal the deal. Cruz should have caught that ball, and they were a strike away in the 10th.

For all the mistakes, on the visitors field, the RANGERS were ONE strike away TWICE, and gave St Louis home field advantage for Game 7.

There shouldn't be a Game 7.

The game they stole the other night, they just gave back.

They may have given away the series.

Nobody else is to blame....not even Bud Selig.
